Playersrun is a Poker Run
Playersrun is not a Cannonball Run or Street Race. What is a
Poker Run? : A Poker Run is a rally where teams
travel over a prescribed course and at designated stopping points, select a
card. At the end of the run, the person with the best poker hand wins. Why Poker Run instead of Cannonball Run? In Playersrun teams
drive together in groups; in Cannonball Runs teams drive by themselves, all day long, under total stress and against the clock (and the law). It’s the journey that counts, not the destination. It’s the
friendship and memories that count, not the competition.

History
It all started in 2003 when Playersrun invited 50 teams to take part in the first ever Playersrun. Within 6 days they had to make it from Beverly Hills to Miami Beach, compete on race tracks and in Indy cars, fly in Helicopters, drive in High Speed Police escorts and navigate Powerboats. The nights were spent relaxing in the most luxurious resorts and spas or partying in style. At the end everyone made it for the last task : Party on the Playersrun Mega Yacht in Miami. Part one of the Playersrun story was written and since then being witnessed by millions on TV, PayPerView, DVD and Magazines.
In June of 2004, 50 teams were invited to participate in part 2 of the Playersrun. The teams started at The USS Intrepid in Manhattan on June 5th only to arrive 6 days later in Los Angeles. Long Highway stretches, massive Rocky Mountain Rollercoaster Passes,High Speed Police Escorts, Race tracks, what a week it was !
Seattle to Las Vegas via Ashland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego - the 2005 Playersrun was a true west coast adventure. 50 teams were invited to experience an epic car event. The route was better than ever, the police escorts and special events more ridiculous than ever and the parties hotter than ever.
From Sea To Summit was the theme of the 2006 Playersrun Los Angeles to Denver. This event was, as usual, limited to 50 exotic cars. Stops included Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Moab, Aspen and Denver.
